An Exciting Private Day Tour to Sydney’s Southwest Market Gardens
Food Travel Australia
Take your group on an exclusive culinary journey to Sydney’s southwest market gardens, just 50 minutes (and a world apart) from the CBD. As mentioned in the Sydney Morning Herald Good Living, the tours highlight seasonal produce and take you behind the scenes to meet the wonderful people who produce our food.
Join the lovely and talented Chef Tawnya Bahr as your guide for the day. Tawnya’s passion for food is extraordinary – you’ll be inspired!
Board our air conditioned mini coach and head south visiting a variety of regional gourmet shops and primary producers that have included growers of figs, prickly pears, seasonal vegetables, mushrooms, and a pork and bacon smokehouse.
The tour includes cooking demonstrations and plenty of tastings at stops through the day. Our exploration winds up with a leisurely lunch cooked by your private chef / guide, along with a wine tasting and a private farmers market experience. The lunch menu is designed to celebrate the farm’s bounty and highlight ingredients found in the area.
There are plenty of opportunities to shop along the way so bring some cash and your cooler bag. Travel time provides great opportunities for structured team building exercises.
Due to the seasonality of produce, the stops will vary from tour to tour as does the lunch menu. Please enquire for more detail.
